Months and years are averages
Seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks have fixed lengths. Months and years don't: a month has 28 to 31 days and a year 365 or 366. To convert them to a single number, this tool uses averages: a year of 365.25 days and a month of one twelfth of that, 30.4375 days. Limitations
- Months and years use averages, not calendar dates.
- Leap seconds are ignored.
- Time can't be negative.

How many seconds are in a day?
86,400 seconds: 24 hours × 60 minutes × 60 seconds.
How do I convert decimal hours to minutes?
Multiply the hours by 60. For example, 1.75 h × 60 = 105 minutes, or 1 hour 45 minutes.
How many hours are in a year?
8,766 hours for an average year of 365.25 days. A regular 365-day year has 8,760 hours.
